Pakistan triumphs over India at World Amateur Pro Championship with 11-medal haul

Pakistan outclassed India and other nations at the World Amateur Pro Championship held in Dubai, delivering a stellar performance in bodybuilding and powerlifting events, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday. 

According to details, the Pakistani contingent secured a total of 11 medals, including 9 gold, 1 silver, and 1 bronze in the tournament.  

Anjum Warsi emerged as one of the championship’s top performers, bringing home six medals for Pakistan. 

In the Masters' event, he dominated all three major segments—bench press, deadlift, and squat—earning gold in each.

 Additionally, he secured two golds and one silver in the Open category. 

The highlight of the event was Jawad Ahmed, who won the prestigious title of Mr. World Amateur. 

Competing fiercely in both the Masters and Open categories, Ahmed secured gold medal and cemented his status as a top international bodybuilder.

 Adding to Pakistan’s success, Young Sameer Ahmed clinched a gold medal in the Junior Men’s Physique category. He also won a bronze medal in the Junior Bodybuilding event.

Veteran bodybuilder Furqan Raza added another gold to the country’s medal tally by winning the Masters 40+ category,

 The championship, held in Dubai, saw strong participation from numerous countries including India, but it was Pakistan that emerged as the clear frontrunner in bodybuilding and powerlifting disciplines.
