As Karachi remains in a terrible state due to urban flooding triggered by heavy rains in recent days, national figures are now speaking up for Karachi and Karachiites, raising questions about the authorities’ ability to deliver and provide relief in the face of the natural disaster

Well-known journalist, political commentator and TV host Najam Sethi could not keep himself from commenting on the situation in Karachi. 

Veteran TV actor and model Faysal Quraishi voiced his concern about the water crisis in the city after the rain lashed the city and electricity went out. 

Faisal earlier took to Twitter to vent his anger on 54 hours of power out in Karachi. 

Outspoken TV anchor Mubasher Lucman questioned absence of PTI MNAs from the scenes of disaster in Karachi. 

Famous TV anchor and political analyst Kamran Khan complained about PTI and PPP rulers’ apathy towards Karachi. 

Shaniera Akram, wife of legendary cricketer Wasim Akram, feels clueless about who will come forward and solve Karachi’s problems. She took to Twitter multiple times to express her desperation at the situation in the largest city and financial hub of Pakistan. 

In another tweet, Shaniera shared a video message by legendary fast bowler Wasim Akram for the “underwater Karachi city” and people of Karachi. 

Earlier, Shaniera took to Twitter to explain what it feels to be in a situation like Karachiites are in nowadays. 

Shaniera took to Twitter again to warn Karachiites about the next spell of rain in the port city. 

TV actress and model Ushna Shah said she trusts Prime Minister Imran Khan and her promises when it comes to dealing with crisis situations and she is hopeful he will deliver.
