Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaarul Haq Kakar has constituted two more cabinet committees, 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Monday.

The finance minister will head the newly formed bodies on privatization and public-owned enterprises.

The committee on privatization will have the power to approve the privatisation of government institutions, according to the TORs and it will review and monitor the progress of the privatization process.

The Cabinet Committee on State-Owned Enterprises will review the implementation of the SOE Act, 2023, and look into matters related to the appointment of boards in government institutions.

Earlier, the PM constituted the Cabinet Committee for Energy under Federal Minister for Power and Petroleum Muhammad Ali.

Federal ministers for finance, revenue, economic affairs, privatization, planning, communications, railways, maritime affairs, law, climate change and water resources will be members of the energy committee.
