Imran Ashraf gets standing ovation for staying grounded
Veteran actor Mehmood Akhtar has shared a heartfelt story about Imran Ashraf, praising his humility and respect for seniors in an emotional tribute.
During Imran’s show, Mehmood Akhtar recalled a touching encounter he had with the Ranjha Ranjha Kardi star during a flight.
The senior actor revealed that despite having a business class seat, Imran chose to spend the entire journey sitting beside him in economy class, simply out of respect.
“He left his comfortable seat and sat next to me throughout the flight. This isn’t just manners … this is character,” Mehmood Akhtar said.
Such a behaviour reflects the strong values instilled by Imran’s family, he maintained.
“This is the result of parental upbringing … you can see his family's teachings in his actions,” he added.
Mehmood Akhtar went on to say that Imran Ashraf’s respectful gesture deserves a standing ovation, and he even urged the audience to stand and applaud the actor during the show.
The story quickly went viral, sparking a wave of admiration for Imran Ashraf across social media.

Imran Ashraf is in headlines for making his international film debut with the Punjabi comedy Enna Nu Rehna Sehna Nai Aunda set to hit cinemas next month.
Recently, he dropped the film’s poster, captioning: “Ok then see you in cinemas on 22 August 2025. We really worked hard for this. Love u all.”
Directed by Rupan Ban and Surinder Arora, the film promises a laugh-out-loud joyride packed with visa drama, midnight paratha runs, and the everyday chaos of desi students abroad.
The star-studded cast features Punjabi music and film heavyweights including Jassie Gill, Ranjit Bawa, Mandy Takhar, Nasir Chinyoti, Nirmal Rishi, Sapna Pabbi, Ravinder Mand, and Sangtar.
His debut follows the success of Hania Aamir’s Sardar Ji 3, which is already making waves at the Pakistani box office.
