That very same year, Mahira made her debut in the Drama Industry opposite Humayun Saeed in Mehreen Jabbar’s serial ‘Neeyat’.

Little did Mahira know she was about to take the industry by storm when she played the lead role of ‘Khirad’ against the heartthrob Fawad Khan in Sarmad Khoosat’s chart-topping blockbuster ‘Humsafar’.

Mahira’s chemistry with Fawad Khan in Humsafar was on point. The on-screen couple received immense love from the fans.

After the acquired popularity from ‘Humsafar, Mahira was unstoppable and soon after she took a lead role in Sarmad’s Shehr e Zaat which was another huge hit.

Mahira Khan has one Journalist brother. She met her now ex-husband when she was a VJ and it was LOVE. She married Ali Askari even with her family not approving of it. She has a son from her former marriage. Even though Mahira had a difficult marriage, she isn’t one to bring her private affairs into the public. Sadly Mahira was divorced in 2015.

Currently, Mahira is deeply involved with Salim Karim who she considers a ‘blessing’.

Quoting back, during an Instagram live session when HSY asked Mahira: "You are in love now, his name is Salim. When you look deep into his eyes, what is the first thing that comes to your mind?"

Mahira, though not very keen on discussing her personal matters in public, very hesitantly chose a line from her blockbuster serial ‘Humsafar’ and explained about her love life: “There's a line in Humsafar, which I thought was beautiful, where Ashar says to Khirad, 'Pata nahi tum mujhe kis naiki kay badlay main miley ho (I don't know what I did right to deserve you.) I think the same about him."
