Four terrorists killed in Lakki Marwat search-and-strike operation

Four terrorists were killed in a joint operation of Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD), police and security forces in Lakki Marwat on Tuesday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
According to police sources, the terrorists were planning a terrorist attack in Sherry Khel area in the jurisdiction of Pezu police station.
A huge quantity of arms was also recovered from their possession.
Police said that the terrorists had opened fire on the police and security forces during a search and strike operation, and, they were killed in a retaliatory firing by the law enforcement agencies.
The deceased terrorists were identified as Yaseen alias Ladam, Aftab, Fazlur Rehman alias Abdul Wali and Aajiz Sherry Khel.
They were wanted by police for attacks on policemen and the CTD personnel.
The development came a day after security forces had killed another four terrorists during an operation in Jhallar Fort area of North Waziristan District.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the security forces conducted an intelligence-based operation (IBO) on the reported presence of terrorists in the area.
During an intense exchange of fire, four terrorists were killed. One of the terrorists had been identified as Zar Saad Ullah. Heavy weapons and ammunition were also recovered from the possession of the slain terrorists who were involved in terrorist activities against security forces.
