Pakistan Muslim League-Q Secretary General and Federal Minister Tariq Bashir Cheema Tuesday reiterated his stance that he would vote in favour of the no-confidence motion.
PML-Q members looked in disarray after the ruling PTI offered Punjab Chief Minister slot to Ch Parvez Elahi in return of PML-Q support in the national and Punjab assemblies, which the latter has accepted.
However, Cheema is adamant to go against the government. Talking to the media after a meeting with Senate Chairman Sadiq Sanjrani said that the media reports things without verifying them.
He said who told the media that I am angry with the party.
On a question regarding a tweet of Farrukh Habib in which he claimed that Tariq Bashir Cheema was creating a gulf between PML-Q and PTI, he retorted sarcastically that he would have taken advice from Farrukh Habib that’s why he would have known it.
He said he has tendered his resignation and would vote in favour of the no-confidence motion.
On a question regarding his contact with PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif, he said he has not contacted anyone.
He said he was still part of PML-Q and as a worker of Chaudhary sb will stand by him.
