The first solo release from Rihanna in six years is finally out and emotionalizing fans all across the globe. The Lift Me Up song from the Black Panther: Wakanda Forever soundtrack was released and played by millions of Rihanna and Black Panther fans. Her following, known as Rihanna's Navy, has already made the song a sensation.
Rihanna starts the new single by humming the melody before she sings the heartbreaking lyrics.
“Lift me up/Hold me down/Keep me close/Safe and sound,” she sings. “Burning in a hopeless dream/Hold me when you go to sleep/Keep me in the warmth of your love when you depart/Keep me safe, safe and sound.”
As a homage to the deceased "Black Panther" actor Chadwick Boseman, the song was written by Rihanna, Tems, Oscar winner Ludwig Göransson, and "Black Panther" director Ryan Coogler.
