Pakistan HC in India issues 2,100 visas to Sikh pilgrims

The Pakistani High Commission in New Delhi has issued 2,100 visas to Sikh pilgrims who wanted to participate in the birthday celebrations of Baba Guru Nanak Dev Ji, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.

The birthday celebrations of Baba Guru Nanak will be celebrated from November 4 to 13, 2025, in Pakistan.

Earlier in September 2025, Sikh community has urged Modi government of India to lift ban on Yatrees travelling to Pakistan to visit Darbar Sahab Baba Guru Nanak Dev JI at Kartarpur.

The vice president of Sikh Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee of Pakistan in a statement said thousands of Sikh Yatrees are desirous to take part in the week-long 556th birth anniversary celebrations of Baba Guru Nanak in November.

He said Pakistan government has assured the Committee that doors are open for Indian Sikh Yatrees and Visas would be granted through the High Commission in New Delhi.

The Indian government last week denied permission to Sikh Yatrees to cross into Pakistan for Guru Nanak's birth anniversary, citing security concerns.
