PIA plane hit by bird while landing at Lahore

A PIA Dubai-Lahore flight PK-204 made a successful landing at Allama Iqbal International Airport after a bird hit it on Tuesday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
According to officials, flight PK-204 coming from Dubai was hit by a bird while landing, however, the pilot successfully made the landing.
A PIA spokesman said other incidents reported included PIA flight PK-309 from Islamabad to Karachi was also hit by a bird damaging the plane’s wing.
Another bird also collided with a PIA plane at Multan Airport when PIA flight PK-5739 coming from Jeddah also damaged the plane while in another incident a bird collided with PIA flight PK-301 from Islamabad to Karachi.
A total of four PIA planes have been damaged due to bird strikes, the PIA spokesperson said.

The number of bird strikes with airplanes at different airports has been steadily increasing and several PIA planes were damaged due to bird strikes only in 2020, the TV channel reported.
As per the statistics, 14 incidents of bird hitting the planes were reported in July, 10 in August and in the current month of September 15 incidents were reported.
