PM Kakar performs Umrah, prays for country’s prosperity

Caretaker Prime Minister Anwar-ul-Haq Kakar performed the rituals of Umrah on Thursday night and prayed for the progress and prosperity of Pakistan, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Friday.

The prime minister also prayed for harmony among the Muslim Ummah.

As a special gesture of respect for Pakistan and the prime minister, the door of Holy Kaaba was opened and the prime minister got the honour of praying inside the holiest place.

Earlier, Prime Minister Kakar visited Masjid-e-Nabvi (SAWW) in Madinah, offered Nawafil and paid respects and prayers at Roza-e-Rasool (SAWW).

After that, the prime minister left for Makkah from Jeddah Airport to perform Umrah.

He was received by top Saudi authorities and Pakistani diplomatic staff at Jeddah Airport.

The prime minister also visited the International Fair and Museum of the Prophet (SAWW)'s Biography and Islamic Civilization, adjacent to the Masjid-e-Nabvi.

PM Kakar was given a comprehensive briefing about the historical museum, which showcases the life and teachings of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and different aspects of Islamic civilization.

The prime minister expressed his deep appreciation for the museum and lauded the efforts made to preserve and present the Islamic heritage.

On the occasion, Secretary Board of Directors of the museum Dr. Nasir Misfir Al-Zahrani presented the premier with a shield and books, symbolizing the cherished connection between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia in promoting Islamic heritage and fostering mutual understanding.

The International Fair and Museum in Madinah offers an immersive experience with interactive exhibits and multimedia presentations.

It chronicles the Prophet’s (PBUH) journey, highlights significant events of his life, his teachings and Islamic civilization's achievements in various fields.

The museum promotes interfaith dialogue and understanding, fostering respect for diverse beliefs and cultures.
