Collective efforts vital for achieving development goals: Gilani

Acting President Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani says collective efforts on the part of all state institutions are inevitable for achieving national development goals. 

He was talking to a delegation from the National Institute of Public Administration comprising officers of the 38th Senior Management Course in Islamabad today. The Acting President said Pakistan's civil servants have always demonstrated dutifulness and excellent performance.

Emphasizing transparency and efficiency in governance, he said e-governance and artificial intelligence  are being promoted in the Senate Secretariat to ensure the same. Syed Yousaf Raza Gillani paid tribute to the role of officers in the recent flood situation, and said natural disasters are a test of the capacity of institutions and the spirit of public service. 

He urged the officers to align their training and experiences with public welfare and national priorities.
