Four girls were reported to have been kidnapped in Hanjarwal area of Punjab capital on Monday.

Reports said that 10-year-old Anam and 11-year-old Kaneez and their neighbouring friends went out. As they did not return after a considerable delay, their relatives decided to approach the local police to seek the lawmen's help.

The police said they have launched the search for the missing children after registering a case. The capital city police officer also took notice of the incident and sought a report from the officials concerned.
