The police on Friday recovered a woman who was chained by her suspicious husband from one of the rooms of her house in Gujrat, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Reportedly, the police recovered a woman whose feet were tied up with iron chains from a house in the Sultanpura area of Gujrat. Her husband locked her up in a room. Police used a welding machine to cut her free.

The police arrested her husband Mazhar Iqbal and registered a case against him.

Police said the husband was suspicious of his wife’s character and when he would go out for work, he would chain her up. He kept her in chains without food and water for many days. When the police cut her chains, they found deep bruises on the woman’s feet.
