Kamran Khalid Butt, a political leader and former candidate of the Rahe-e-Haq Party (RHP) for NA-62 Kharian allegedly raped a divorced woman, 24News HD TV channel reported on Sunday.
According to the channel report, a case under the Pakistan Penal Code Section 376 against the nominated politician has been registered in Gujrat district's Kikkerwali Police Station.
As per the FIR, the complainent Moazama Saddiqa told the police that the accused Kamran Khalid Butt was her ex-husband who was used to physically torture her.
The victim said after the death of her first husband, she made second merraige with the accused in 2018 and have a girl.
She said she took divorce in 2022 due to Kamran's misbehave and returned to her parents home.
Moazzama said on March 1, 2024, her ex-husban Kamran came home on the pretext of meeting his daughter and forcibly raped her.
