Brisk trade underway on Pak-Afghan border

Despite weekly holidays, the trade activities at all four points of the Pak-Afghan border have seen robustness, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Monday.

According to the customs officials, the transportation of as many as 2,527 containers has been recorded during the last three days.

Through the Torkham border, 1142 containers were transported. The Chaman border recorded 616 containers’ movement. While through Ghulam Khan border, 545 containers and through Khalarchi border 242 containers were hauled.

The customs officials informed that 429 containers entered Afghanistan through transit trade agreement; whereas 103 empty containers entered Pakistan.

As many as 114 containers of cement were exported through the Torkham border. And 152 containers of tomatoes and 77 containers of onions from Afghanistan entered Pakistan, the customs officials concluded.
