Pakistani borders are secure, says COAS

Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa on Monday said Pakistan’s borders are secure and the armed forces are prepared to cope with challenges.
According to a statement issued by the ISPR, a delegation comprising members of the Parliamentary Kashmir Committee, Defence Committees of the Senate, and National Assembly visited the GHQ.
The delegation was briefed on overall security including the situation on borders and Pakistan’s army efforts for peace and stability.
The COAS while alluding to the benefits of regional connectivity highlighted the importance of restoration of peace in Afghanistan for sustainable development of the region.
He reiterated the Pakistan army’s support and commitment to the Kashmir cause and the people of Kashmir.
Gen Bajwa said the armed forces, with the support of the nation, have achieved unprecedented successes in the fight against terrorism.
