PTI comes under fire over IMF package call controversy

Federal Planning and Development Minister Ahsan Iqbal has come down hard on the PTI over the IMF package call controversy, 24NewsHD TV channel reported Tuesday.
Addressing a press conference in Islamabad, the minister said the act is condemnable. The entire world supported the IMF package for Pakistan but the PTI and India opposed it.”
Regarding flood disasters, the minister said more than 1500 lives have been lost. He added: “One million houses have been destroyed. A population of 30 million was affected. A total of ten billion dollars will be required according to the initial estimates.”
Ahsan Iqbal said that in view of the large-scale destruction in the country, the government wants new settlements in a systematic way.
He appealed to the businessmen to join the donation drive and said overseas Pakistanis can also donate to the Prime Minister's Relief Fund.
