Excise Dept introduces new system, properties NOC to be issued online

Now there will be no need to visit excise offices to get a No Objection Certificate (NOC) at the time of property sale in Punjab province as the Excise Department has introduced a digital system to issue the certificate online.
According to the 24News HD TV channel, now the property owners in Punjab province will be able to issue the NOC online.
The Excise authorities said any citizen (property owner) can also draw an online challan in case of property tax arrears.
Pertinent to mention here that the Excise NOC is mandatory during the sale of urban property in Punjab province and on average, more than 1,000 NOCs are issued daily.
The Excise officials said the records of 40,000 properties across Punjab are available in the online system.
They said the properties whose cases are in court will not be able to take advantage of this facility and draw their NOCs online.
They also informed that the App has been launched for Excise authorities to verify any NOC.
