An extraordinary display of courage by young girls thwarted an armed robbery at a superstore in Multan, where they confronted three armed suspects in the superstore, wrestled with them despite gunfire, snatched a pistol, and managed to apprehend one of the robbers.
According to the 24NewsHD TV channel, the incident took place two days ago at a superstore in the Qasim Bela area, where three suspects entered the premises and attempted to deceive staff by showing a screenshot of an online payment.
Multan Cantt Police told the media persons that the suspects had previously used the same method to commit fraud at other locations.
As the situation escalated, the suspects opened fire inside the store, triggering panic among customers and staff.
Despite the danger, the underage girls resisted the armed men, engaging them in a physical struggle and successfully disarming one of the suspects.
Police said that following the firing, two of the suspects managed to escape, while one was overpowered and captured by the girls. Cantonment Police arrived shortly after and launched an immediate operation.
Authorities confirmed that a search is ongoing to arrest the two fleeing suspects. CCTV footage of the incident, obtained by the police, shows the girls bravely grappling with the armed men.
