Pakistani actress Salma Hassan has revealed some of the most distressing details about how she fought self-doubt and depression.

During an interview with Fuchsia Magazine, Miss Hassan mentioned that there is nothing to be ashamed of and thus nothing to hide therefore one must not be afraid.

The actress further mentioned that she had to go through an awful lot in her life which made attend therapy sessions and they stretched over a period of five to six years so that Salma can overcome the feelings of intense self-doubt and lingering depression.

Miss Hassan also had to take anti-depressants in order to fight the ailment.

Salma said: “Your own sanity is really important in such matters. People will talk a lot about you but you have to be strong. It’s not easy to face your own problems but you have to. You should analyse yourself on your own.”
