Sindh Governor Imran Ismail Friday said that a law was being framed to give the death penalty to those who raped or abused children.

According to 24News HD TV channel, the governor paid a visit to the residence of baby victim Mahem and expressed condolence with her parents in Karachi.

The governor assured the parents of the victim baby that the culprits would be brought to justice as soon as possible.

Imran Ismail said there could be no greater cruelty than raping, beating, and later throwing a girl in the garbage.

He said that Prime Minister Imran Khan was also saddened by the incident. He assured that his government was standing with the affected family in every way.

He also confirmed that the main accused in the case had been arrested and after the DNA test, his identity would be revealed.

He also said that it was necessary to turn Karachi into a safe city as it was not possible to have a police officer to protect every person. He said that only modern technology could ensure the safety of citizens.
