CCD inspector turns out to be mastermind of businessman’s abduction
Crime Control Department’s (CCD) inspector turned out to be the mastermind of a businessman’s kidnapping for ransom incident in Lahore, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Thursday.
According to police, Inspector Javed Iqbal along with a constable kidnapped businessman Waleed from Kahna.
The accused demanded a ransom of Rs50 million for the release of the kidnapped person.
They are threatening to kill the businessman if he does not pay the amount.
However, the deal was struck with the family of the kidnapped Waleed for Rs4 million.
The accused were taking the family of the kidnapped person who brought the ransom money to different places.
The accused collected the ransom money from the kidnapped person near the LOS and released the businessman.
As soon the businessman was released, Kahna police arrested the kidnappers.
During the investigation, Inspector Javed Iqbal and Constable Tauseef were exposed.
The accused used a rented vehicle for the kidnapping.
A case has been registered against the accused and handed over to the CCD.
