Dry weather forecast for most parts of Pakistan in next 24 hours

The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast predominantly dry weather across most parts of the country tonight and on Friday, with colder temperatures expected in hilly and northern regions during the morning and night hours.

In the federal capital, residents can expect dry and pleasant weather throughout the day, while the mornings and nights are likely to remain chilly.

Across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, most districts will experience dry conditions, though the hilly areas are forecast to turn cold after sunset and during early hours.

The Punjab region will also stay largely dry, including Murree, Galiyat, and adjoining areas, where temperatures are expected to drop at night. However, smog and fog may develop in Lahore, Gujrat, Kasur, Sheikhupura, Okara, Faisalabad, Sialkot, Khanewal, Rahim Yar Khan, Bahawalpur, and Multan, reducing visibility and potentially disrupting travel.

In Balochistan, most districts are likely to remain dry, while the northern parts — including Quetta and Kalat — can expect cold conditions in the morning and at night.

Meanwhile, Sindh will continue to experience hot and dry weather, with partly cloudy skies expected along the southeastern and coastal areas, including Karachi and Thatta.

The weather in Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan is forecast to remain dry and cold, with temperatures likely to dip further as the region transitions into early winter.

Meteorologists advise residents, especially in northern and hilly regions, to prepare for colder nights, and commuters in Punjab are urged to take precautions due to possible smog and fog formation in low-visibility areas.
