Govt decides to extend Cryptocurrency and Digital Assets Ordinance

Federal government has decided to seek extension in Virtual Assets Ordinance 2025, reported 24NewsHD TV Channel. 

A summary will be presented in the National Assembly to extend the ordinance. The 120-day period of the Virtual Assets Ordinance is ending in the first week of November. 

Steps are underway to make the Virtual Assets Ordinance an Act of Parliament, government sources said.The Act of Parliament process will be completed during the extended period of the ordinance. The bill has been introduced in the National Assembly, Senate, the matter is in the Standing Committee on Finance. 

The Presidential Ordinance on Virtual Assets was implemented on July 8, 2025.
