Bodies of two Pakistanis repatriated from Iran

The mortal remains of two Pakistani nationals who lost their lives near Iran’s border with Turkiye have been repatriated to Pakistan through the Taftan border, Pakistan’s Ambassador to Iran Mudassir Tipu said Tuesday.

In a statement shared on X, the ambassador identified the deceased as Armanullah, son of Gul Rahman, and Ihtasham, son of Mukhtar Gul, both residents of Nowshera.

He said the two men had fallen victim to human smugglers and died after being exposed to extremely harsh weather conditions near the Iran–Turkiye border.

Ambassador Tipu urged Pakistani youth not to fall into the trap of human smugglers and to adopt legal channels for travelling abroad. He expressed appreciation for the Government of Balochistan for making swift arrangements to transport the bodies to Nowshera.

The ambassador also extended his condolences to the families of the deceased, expressing sorrow over their tragic deaths and praying for eternal peace for the departed souls.
