Pakistan expresses concern over escalating violence in Yemen

Pakistan has expressed deep concern over the recent escalation of violence in Yemen, the Foreign Office said on Wednesday.

According to Foreign Office Spokesperson Tahir Hussain Andrabi, Pakistan reiterated its full support for the unity, sovereignty, and territorial integrity of Yemen.

The country emphasized its backing for all efforts aimed at establishing lasting peace and stability in the conflict-hit nation.

The spokesperson stated that Pakistan strongly opposes any unilateral actions by Yemeni parties that could further escalate tensions, undermine peace efforts, or threaten stability in Yemen and the wider region. Pakistan also welcomed regional initiatives aimed at de-escalation and the maintenance of peace.

In addition, Pakistan reaffirmed its full solidarity with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and reiterated its commitment to the security and safety of the Kingdom.

The Foreign Office said that a lasting solution to the Yemeni crisis should be achieved through dialogue and diplomacy.

Pakistan expressed hope that the people of Yemen, along with regional powers, would work together to reach a comprehensive and sustainable solution that ensures peace and stability in the region.
