Alia Bhatt ready to quit social media?

Alia Bhatt has admitted that becoming a mother has completely reshaped her relationship with fame and social media, revealing that there are moments when she seriously considers walking away from it altogether.

The actor, who welcomed daughter Raha in November 2022 with husband Ranbir Kapoor, spoke candidly to Esquire India about the emotional tug-of-war she experiences online.

While she understands the importance of staying connected to fans who have supported her for years, she confessed that the constant pressure to engage can feel exhausting.

“There are days when I wake up and think, okay, I just want to delete my social media and be an actor who acts. I don’t want to keep up with this conversation again and again. I know that would really cut off contact with so many people who’ve supported me from the beginning, and I don’t want to do that,” she said.

Alia explained that motherhood has made her far more protective of her private world, especially when it comes to what she chooses to share publicly.

“When it comes to really putting out your personal life…now my personal life is so personal that I find it a little bit difficult. My photo album is full of Raha. I actually have to work hard to take pictures of myself,” she added.

Describing motherhood as “a massive change,” Alia said it has altered not only her body but also her mindset, priorities, and sense of identity.

Alia and Ranbir dated for several years before tying the knot in April 2022. Their daughter Raha was born later that year, and the couple delighted fans by making their first public appearance with her during Christmas celebrations in 2023.

On the professional front, Alia is gearing up for Alpha, a high-octane action thriller directed by Shiv Rawail. The film sees her portraying a commanding officer in an elite all-women combat unit alongside Sharvari Wagh. Set within the YRF Spy Universe, the project also features Bobby Deol.

Originally scheduled for a Christmas 2025 release, Alpha was pushed to April 17, 2026, and has since been delayed again, with a new release date expected later in 2026.

Alia will also appear in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s upcoming period romance Love & War, where she stars opposite Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal.
