As coronavirus continues affecting the globe, a special flight carrying 262 German citizens and some diplomats left Islamabad for Frankfurt via Doha on Tuesday.
According to 24NewsHD TV channel which cited sources, the empty flight of Qatar Airways QR-7482 had arrived in the federal capital from Doha.
The German embassy especially thanked the Pakistan government for allowing the special flight.
The European nations and the US are making hectic efforts to ensure the return of their citizens from every part of the world amid the coronavirus crisis.
Earlier on Monday, a special cargo plane of the US Air Force transported some vehicles and other items of the American embassy and its staff members from Pakistan.
Last week, as many as 69 American diplomatic officials left Pakistan for Afghanistan in the wake of ever-spreading coronavirus cases. Their departure from the country came a few days after a batch of 75 US diplomats left for Georgia through a chartered flight.
The US has also arranged a flight from Karachi and Islamabad tomorrow (April 1) for the Americans stranded in Pakistan.
On the other hand, United Kingdom High Commissioner Christian Turner on Saturday said the latest update on flights will cause further concerns for the British nationals anxious to get home.
In a tweet, Turner said they were in talks with the Pakistan government about what could be done and working hard to assist the vulnerable.
