Member Sindh Assembly and Ameer Jimmat-e- Islami Karachi Syed Abdul Rashid has announced an award of Rs108 for killing a stray dog in his constituency, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Abdul Rashid, an MPA from PS-108 Lyari, stated that the protection of citizens’ lives and property is the government’s responsibility but the constant silence upon the matter of dog bites was lamentable.

Abdul Rashid said that he will award Rs108 to any person of Lyari PS-108 who will kill the biting dog. 

He said there is no vaccine or medicine for dog bite. “Then tell me are they being saved to kill humans,” he said.

People who love dogs should shelter and feed these dogs at a safe place, in order to save the citizens, he further said. “If anyone dies due to dog bite I’ll lodge an FIR against the relevant department,” he added.
