Bobby, a 40-year-old transgender, was found dead, hanging from the fan in Shafiqabad area of Lahore on Wednesday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The police rushed to the spot after getting information and collected the evidence from the crime scene. Later, the dead body was shifted to a hospital mortuary.

According to police sources, the death could be murder as marks of torture were visible on the body of the deceased.

Preliminary investigation led to believe that the transgender was tortured, killed and later the body was hanged to the fan to give it a colour of suicide.

The police said that a post-mortem report will further elaborate on the cause of the death.
