Bid to smuggle heroin to Saudi Arabia foiled at Karachi Airport

The Customs officials Thursday arrested a passenger who was trying to smuggle 900 grams of heroin to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The seized drug was worth Rs9 million. The drug was secretly hidden in the passenger’s suitcase. Accused Naimatullah wanted to smuggle the drug to Saudi Arabia on a foreign airline’s flights to Riyadh via Sharjah.

Upon suspicion, when custom team checked the passenger’s suitcase, they found 900 grams of heroin cleverly hidden in the inner pipes of the suitcase.

A Customs spokesperson said that the passenger was handed over to the investigation team for further interrogation into the matter.
