SBP extends date for changing prize bonds until June 30

The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has extended the date either for changing or cashing old, non-registered prize bonds of  worth Rs40,000, Rs25, 000, Rs15, 000 and Rs7, 500, which was going to expire today (Thursday, March 31, 2022), until June 30, 2022, reported 24NewsHD TV channel. 

In this regard, the SBP issued a circular on Thursday. 

The bank had decided to change non-registered prize bonds in phases because it wanted the documentation of investment in these bonds.  

According to the circular, these bonds could also be changed for premium prize bonds, special saving certificates and defence saving certificates.
