Adnan Qureshi and Alamdar Khan's collaboration “Chup” song has been receiving appreciation from the music fraternity. Chup brought 'new ideas' into Pakistani pop music in a bid to bring some reinvention into this music genre.

According to Adnan Qureshi: Chup is a musical uprising that speaks when asked to be quiet’, Chup is an effort by us to share with you a journey of oneness, divinity and love for our creator along with the need for absolute submission to his grand plans.

Alamdar Khan said that the human condition is all of the characteristics and key events of human life, including birth, learning, emotion, aspiration, morality, conflict, and death.

You can stream this work of art now on YouTube and all digital audio platforms.

However, most of living happens between these pivotal moments and milestones, in the liminality of life, we often cross nameless boundaries and find ourselves. Self-discovery, healing and crossroads are usually not met with fanfare but silent confrontation.

This is what “Chup” as a collective exploration of the grey stories that interweave across age, class, culture and gender represent.

Chup - is a command, is an action, is inaction, is freedom, is torture, depending on one’s internal and external predicament.

He said: “This audio-visual foray in to the mechanisms of silence brings together individuals and communities from diverse strata, to build momentum and make noise. Because collective silence, is not nothingness, it is a movement.”
