NADRA, PEC ink accord for promotion, exchange of latest technology

National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) and Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) signed an agreement to promote and exchange the latest technology, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Friday.

On this occasion, Pakistan Engineering Council Chairman, Engineer Waseem Nazir, said that this accord will take PEC to a transparent paperless system.

He further said that PEC will be strengthened through NADRA’s ICT infrastructure.

He said that PEC will now adopt a modern and transparent administrative structure, moving away from the traditional system. 

As per the agreement, the digital services of the Pakistan Engineering Council will be improved. The agreement will provide engineers with modern, online facilities at all times.

NADRA will assist in the preparation of software and applications. NADRA will also provide assistance for the protection of the digital data of PEC’s election system.

Both institutions will start joint projects for the exchange of technical experts. 

The agreement will help promote e-governance and digital services in the country, NADRA officials said.
