Sunni Ittehad Council (SIC) has submitted a resolution to the National Assembly Secretariat for the release of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder chairman, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.

It was urged in the resolution that the cases against the founder chairman PTI should be dismissed immediately and released him and abuse of law should be stopped.

Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Parvez Elahi, Dr. Yasmin Rashid, Umar Sarfaraz Cheema, Sanam Javed, Ejaz Chaudhry, Mahmood-ur-Rashid and others should be released, text of the resolution says.

The resolution also said that the cases filed against all individuals are political and illegal. It urged that journalists Imran Riaz and Asad Toor should be released.
