Police on Wednesday arrested ‘notorious criminal’ Khawaja Aqeel alias Gogi Butt and around dozen of his accomplices during a raid on his house in a private housing society in Lahore, reported 24NewsHD TV channel. 

Initially, CIA Iqbal Town also arrested his two sons namely Hamza and Abdullah and his nephews in the raid but released them later.  

Confirming the news of arrests, Gogi’s family accused police of also vandalizing household items during the raid.  

Police inserted sections related to terrorism, of possessing unlicensed weapons and others in the case registered against Gogi Butt and 12 other suspects.

The First Information Report states that a large number of weapons was also seized from those arrested during the raid.
