Former foreign minister and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Shah Mehmood Qureshi Wednesday said the ‘Threat Letter’ is not fake and Supreme Court (SC) may form a judicial commission to investigate the matter.
According to the 24News HD TV channel, Qureshi addressed a press conference in Islamabad and said the National Assembly Deputy Speaker did not give a ruling without reason.
Anyhow, he added that the ruling is to be interpreted by the SC but some things must be kept in mind that the National Security Council (NSC) did not call for demarche without any ground.
Terming the matter of the threat letter as a more serious thing that could not be ignored in any case, he said it is based on the facts. He said the Pakistani ambassador was not removed but transferred on completion of his tenure.
He further stated that the honesty of Pakistani ambassadors should not be undermined.
On the controversy of the DS’s ruling, he suggested to the opposition that the no-confidence will be passed if there is weight in their motion.
But the DS has disallowed the motion on the 'information', he said adding that the SC will interpret now whether this ruling was followed by the constitution or not.
He said it should be found out who the foreign diplomats met with whom inside and outside the country.
