Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) leader Shoaib Shaheen on Thursday made it clear that if former prime minister and ex-PTI chairman Imran Khan came to any harm, the present government and the establishment would be responsible for that, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Talking to the media outside the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) in Islamabad, Advocate Shaheen, who had contested the February 8 elections from Islamabad constituency as a PTI-backed independent candidate, said that attempts were being made to intimidate and even assassinate Imran. “The question is why terrorists have chosen only the Adiala Jail for committing atrocity,” he asked.
He further said that following tampering with the election results, the turnout in some of the polling stations was shown at 99.99 per cent, which apparently looked impossible. “We are going to release a white paper in this regard soon,” he announced.
Advocate Shaheen went on to say that Forms 45 which he, and the candidates belonging to Jamaat-e-Islami (JI), Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP) and Mustafa Nawaz Khokhar had were the same, while the ones possessed by PML-N’s Tariq Fazl Chaudhry were different.
PTI leader was of the view that the country’s elite would devour the money which would be given by the IMF.
He requested the judiciary to rein in these looters and plunderers.
He also said categorically that there could be no talks with those who had looted the national wealth.
