Shehbaz thanks Modi, other leaders for greeting on becoming PM

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif Thursday expressed his gratitude to the world leaders, including his Indian counterpart, Narendra Modi, for greeting him on becoming the premier.

"Thank you Narendra Modi for felicitations on my election as the Prime Minister of Pakistan," he tweeted.

In another tweet, he thanked Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, saying. "I wish to thank my brother, His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of brotherly Saudi Arabia, for the warm wishes and prayers on my assumption of the office of Prime Minister.

He said he was confident that the Pak-Saudi ties will take new heights. "I am confident that these fraternal ties will keep flourishing in the times to come. Looking forward to working closely with my brother for mutual benefit of the peoples of the two brotherly countries," he added.

He extended his gratitude to other world leaders too on X.

 

 

 The premier reiterated the Pak-Iran resolve to work for the betterment of the region.
