Transparency International issues Survey 2021 against inflation, corruption in Pakistan  

Judiciary after police declared most corrupt state institutes / highest inflation occurred in PTI era

Transparency International Wednesday released its survey report 2021 on the issues of corruption, inflation and unemployment and declared police and judiciary the most corrupt.

According to the 24News HD TV Channel, the independent organization has released the survey report on the perception of Pakistani people about the main reasons for the inflation, corruption and unemployment in the country.

The report said that the people of Pakistan considered that the highest level of corruption in the country is in the police.

Weak accountability, greediness of the ruling class and low salaries are the main reasons for corruption, while incompetence of government, corruption, politicians' interference in government work and non-implementation of policies increased inflation, the survey report said.

The survey report said that 92.9 per cent of Pakistanis said that the highest inflation occurred during the PTI era while 85 per cent said their income had declined in the last three years.

The report said 66.8 per cent of the people thought the process of accountability is biased and 50 per cent declared the high inflation a result of the incompetence of the government.

The report said 23.3 per cent of the people say that the main reason for the rise in inflation and unemployment is corruption while 9.6 per cent think that the interference of politicians in the government is the main reason.

More than 16 per cent of citizens are of the opinion that the reason for the non-implementation of policies is inflation and corruption while 51.9 per cent of people say poor accountability is the main cause of corruption.

According to 29.3 per cent of people, corruption is due to the lust of the powerful class while 18.8 per cent cited low wages as the main cause of corruption.
