PTI leaderhas challenged National Assembly Speaker Ayaz Sadiq’s smoking ‘charges’, announcing moving a privilege motion over the matter.

“For the first time in the history of the National Assembly, a member smoked a cigarette on the floor of the house,“ the speaker said.

“I didn't smoke in the parliament,” the PTI lawmaker said.  

“I am a Supreme Court lawyer. I never go for such a silly act,” he added.

Ayaz Sadiq said: “This has happened for the first time in the history of Parliament. “If you want to drink water in the house, formal permission is sought

Sher Afzal said: “I am submitting a privilege motion against the speaker on this lie. The speaker should apologise.

He questioned how Ayaz Sadiq ran the house while passing such statements.

The speaker said: “Sitting in the gallery and making videos for Tiktok is strictly prohibited. The gallery is also part of the house. Members of the National Assembly should not bring any member with them in future.”

The PTI leader said: “They have a problem with TikTok because no one records video with them. The speaker wants only the PML-N members to be guests so that they can have a good time.”
