As beleaguered Prime Minister Imran Khan has stated that he will not give in and fight till the last ball, the PTI one again has made a plan to scuttle voting on the no-confidence motion slated to be started before noon today (Saturday), reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Sources informed that the PTI has chalked out a strategy to delay voting on the no-trust resolution. As per the plan, the PTI ministers including Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Shireen Mazari and others will give long speeches to delay the crucial vote that might send government packing. 

It is also feared that a scuffle will break out in the lower house on the matter of lettergate, sources said adding that one group of the treasury members would raise slogans in protest against the regime change through what they call ‘foreign plot’. 

PPP warns against sabotaging no-trust vote again

Apprehending spanners to be thrown by the PTI government, PPP Chief Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has warned premier, president and speaker if they tried to sabotage the democratic process of voting on the no-trust motion, they would be liable not only under Article 6 for the second time, rather they would commit contempt of court too. 

In his tweet late last night, Bilawal said;’ “Tomorrow if they try yet again to sabotage democratic constitutional process of vote of no confidence. It will be the second time the constitution will be violated. So PM, president, speaker & deputy speaker will not only be liable to under Article 6 twice but also contempt.”

PML-N warns PM of contempt of court

PML-N spokesperson Marriyum Aurangzeb had warned Prime Minister Imran Khan against contempt of court, saying the government lost its mental balance and Imran Khan including the ministers became “suicide bombers”.

Marriyum said that according to the court order, the no-confidence motion will be voted in the National Assembly Saturday, adding that if voting will be stopped or obstructed again, it would be contempt of court.

Marriyum Aurangzeb further said that the Supreme Court had issued a clear order and the PTI-led government should not force the public officials and government employees to contempt of court.
