Another polio case has surfaced in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Tuesday.

Polio virus was confirmed in a three-year-old child from the Bannu district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

This is the second case in the ongoing year.

According to Health Minister Abdul Qadir Patel, no polio cases have been reported outside Khyber Pakhtunkhwa since 2021.

Anti-polio campaign is starting next week in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, he said and urged the parents to ensure their participation in the war on polio.

Protecting children from disability is our religious and moral duty, he said, adding that actions are being taken on an emergency basis to eradicate polio.
