Pakistan, India set for high-stakes Under-19 World Cup clash today at 12:30 pm

Pakistan and India are set to lock horns in a high-voltage encounter in the ICC Men’s Under-19 World Cup Super Six stage today, February 1, 2026, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.
The much-anticipated Group 2 Super Six match will be played at the Queens Sports Club in Bulawayo, with the first ball scheduled to be bowled at 12:30 pm local time.
Teams eyeing a place in knockout stage:
With both teams eyeing a place in the knockout stage, the contest is expected to be fiercely competitive, adding another chapter to the storied rivalry between the two cricketing nations at the youth level.
The fixture carries added significance as the two sides met recently in the final of the Under-19 Asia Cup in Dubai on December 21 last year, where Pakistan registered a dominant 191-run victory.
Batting first in that match, Pakistan piled up 347 for eight, driven by Sameer Minhas’ remarkable 172, before dismissing India for 156 as medium-pacer Ali Raza claimed four wickets.
Group-2 team position:
Pakistan enter the contest placed third in Group 2 with four points, having won two of their three matches in the tournament so far.
The Green Shirts suffered a 36-run defeat against England in their opening match after being bowled out for 174 in reply to England’s 210, but bounced back strongly with victories over Scotland by six wickets and Zimbabwe by eight wickets.
India, meanwhile, have been the most consistent side in the group, topping the standings with six points after winning all three of their matches. England are placed second, also with six points, having secured three wins.

In Group 1, Australia sit at the top of the table with eight points following four consecutive victories, while Sri Lanka occupy second place with six points after losing one of their four matches. Afghanistan are third with four points from three matches.
ICC Men’s Under-19 World Cup Super Six Format:
Under the tournament format, the top three teams from each group advance to the Super Six stage, carrying forward points earned against fellow Super Six qualifiers. Each team then plays two additional matches against teams from the paired group that finished in different group-stage positions.
