Ayaz Amir attacked by unknown assailants

Senior journalist and political analyst Ayaz Amir has been attacked by unknown assailants, 24News HD TV Channel reported on Friday.
According to the report, Ayaz Amir was on his way back from the Dunya TV office in Lahore when some six unknown assailants attacked the car.

The accused persons tortured Ayaz Amir and his driver and also snatched his mobile phone and wallet.

Ayaz Amir has said that as soon as they left the media office, a car stopped his car and six people tortured him and the driver.

Imran Khan condemns attack
Former Prime Minister Imran Khan strongly condemned the attack on Ayaz Amir from unknown assailants in a tweet on Friday late night.
He said in the message, “I condemn in strongest terms the violence against senior journalist Ayaz Amir today in Lahore. Pak descending into the worst kind of fascism with violence & fake FIRs against journalists, opp politicians, citizens. When the State loses all moral authority it resorts to violence.”
