PTI demands implementation of court orders in Imran Khan case 

PTI leadership has demanded implementation of court orders in Imran Khan case during a press conference outside the Supreme Court in Islamabad. 

PTI leader Salman Akram Raja stated that an order had been issued by SC to transfer the PTI founder to Shifa International Hospital and to constitute a medical board for his treatment, while also allowing him to stay with family members; however, the court order was not implemented. 

PTI president Barrister Gohar stated that he was disappointed by the hearings—first at the Constitutional Court and now at the Supreme Court; it felt like a school project where one speculates on which court will deliver which verdict. They are tossing cases back and forth between courts like a football.

Speaking to the media outside the Supreme Court, Aleema Khan criticized the government failure to implement court orders, stating that if the judiciary is free, everyone will be free. She added that justice will now be found on the streets and that Pakistanis must come out to secure justice.  

MNA Latif Khosa said that containers were placed everywhere across Islamabad city. The government has shut down the city, and the man who won 180 seats is in jail.

PTI Secretary General Salman Akram Raja said an order had been issued to transfer the PTI founder to Shifa International Hospital. The directive included instructions for family members to stay with him and for a medical board to be constituted for his treatment. He said that SC order was not implemented. Instead, Dr. Faisal Sultan was taken to the facility in a different vehicle on the night of August 20–21.

He said PTI has filed a contempt of court petition and today, all the petitions were presented before the court.

Subsequently, petitions were received from three other prisoners requesting that they, too, receive treatment at a private hospital. The matter concerning those three prisoners was then referred to the constitutional court.

Raja said that fundamental human rights were raised in court today. PTI submitted that the order dated August 18 has not been implemented; therefore, those responsible for contempt of court should be summoned.  He said “the cases were heard today. An individual has been implicated in hundreds of cases but is being denied the right to a defense and access for meetings”.

He demanded that Imran Khan mandatory weekly medical examinations and blood tests must be conducted.
