In his fresh tirade against the coalition government, Pakistan Tehrek Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan has said the Sharifs mafia has a history of controlling the state organs to let it nefarious designs succeed.
They (the rulers) will never let the law take its course, he said in his address after the country’s top court orders holding free and fair polls in KP and Punjab 90 days after the provincial assemblies stood dissolved. The PTI stands by the judiciary, he said stressing that attempts against the supremacy of law will fail now.

He continued: “My government was toppled through a well-concocted plot. NAB laws were amended to hide the corruption and crimes committed by PML-N and its allies. In the by-polls, the PTI proved its mettle. The nation is longing for justice and rule of law. People stand by the judiciary.
“The mafia has been manoeuvring to continue their rule. They will not let the public rule the state. They should keep in mind that it is not the 90s.
"Their endeavours to harm the judiciary will not bear fruit. In the 90s, they removed an honest judge from the prestigious post.
"They have created a sense of deprivation and uncertainty and the people have no trust that they will allow holding free and fair polls."
The ex-prime minister came down hard on the law minister for his recent statement. "The law minister’s statement is shameful when the court passed the orders.
“Today’s youth is well aware. The revolution of information will never let them do so," he added.
Earlier, the former premier tweeted that the party was suspending its “Jail Bharo Tehreek" and moving forward with election campaigns in KP and Punjab.
