Taif Rose Festival kicks off

Traditional Rose Festival at Taif city of Saudi Arab has been started for national and international tourists from Ministry of Culture, reported 24NewsHD TV Channel.
According to the Saudi Arabia Tourism Guide, Taif’s rose festival is celebrated every year in March-April at King Faisal Park in Qadeera. The festival will continue till 29th of Ramazan.
One of the festival’s highlights is a flower carpet prepared by Taif Municipality spreading over 750 square meters and made of 100,000 flowers including more than 15,000 species of flowers of all colors in addition to seedlings of the famous Taif rose.
All the paths of park were decorated with roses and different models were also placed around while an art gallery was also constituted there to promote and entertain the visitors.
Pertinent to mention here that Taif's most famous rose is an oil-rich 30-petal damask rose whose perfume of Arabia is robust, spicy, and dizzyingly complex, the scientifically named Rosa Damascena trigintipetala.
