First fully transshipment cargo ship MV Arlen successfully berthed at KPT

Pakistan has crossed an important milestone of entering the modern transshipment era as the first fully transshipment cargo ship MV Arlen successfully berthed at KPT. 

Karachi Port Trust has crossed an important milestone of entering the modern transshipment era as the first fully transshipment cargo ship MV Arlen successfully berthed at KPT. 

Federal Minister of Ports and Martimes Junaid Anwar Chaudhry said that the arrival of the general cargo ship is a major development for Pakistan's maritime sector. In the past, only containers were transshipped at Karachi Port. 

The new trade opportunities are opening up with general cargo, bulk, break bulk and vehicle handling. Junaid Anwar said that Karachi Port is rapidly transforming into a major transshipment hub in the region. 

Junaid Anwar said Karachi Port's role in connecting global trade routes has become stronger. Junaid Anwar Ch said positive effects of reforms in the maritime sector are clearly emerging.
